Valenciennes welcome St Etienne to the Stade du Hainaut on the back of a horrid run of form that has seen them go on a 7 game winless streak.
Daniel Sanchez has a huge task in motivating his players but more importantly he has to figure out how his team is going to line up with a number of injuries in the squad.
Vincent Aboubakar, Isimat-Mirin and Anthony Le Tallec are all doubts for Friday’s only Ligue 1 game.
Pape Camara,Kama Massampu and Mody Traore will play no part at all and that means the Manager will have to tinker with his starting 11.
Sanchez has more often than not favoured the 4-2-3-1 formation and will probably go with system against favourites St Etienne.
St Etienne on the other hand have scored 7 in the last two, winning both, so they go into this match high in confidence.
The only worry is that despite scoring, the team concedes a lot of goals. The visitors will match the home side’s 4-2-3-1 formation with Aubameyang leading the attack.
St Etienne will not mind Valenciennes having much of the ball as this will open up the home side to counter attacks at which Galtier’s men are very good at.
